Motoplat VC-05COM hand testers are handy and easy to use devices that are used by garages, specialists and rebuilders, among others. The VC-05 tests an alternator (12V) that communicates with the car's ECU while it is still mounted on the car or in combination with all conventional test benches.

It is usually a chore to remove an alternator from a car, often requiring the removal of other parts as well. By placing the VC-05 in series between the alternator and the electronic control unit (ECU), the handheld tester can perform testing and testing without having to disassemble the alternator.
Conventional Test Equipment
The VC-05 can also be used in conjunction with a conventional test bench, upgrading it to a modern test device with greater capabilities to meet the requirements of COM alternator testing.
